Coffee's On: Tips On What To Serve At Your Wedding

Posted on: 30 November 2016

If you love coffee, consider integrating some of your favorite brews into your wedding events. From parties to dinners, and showers to gift-giving, coffee is something that always pleases. Make coffee the star of the show at your reception!

Some ways to highlight coffee during your big day are:

A holiday-themed wedding shower. Serve up festive holiday peppermint mocha coffee to your friends and family during a bridal shower or bachelorette party. The coffee will provide the caffeine that you need to get through mounds of gifts, and the recipe couldn't be easier. Simply brew strong coffee, like a French roast or a cocoa-infused bean, and add a touch of peppermint schnapps and a dollop of whipped cream. If you like, omit the peppermint and go with a splash of Irish whiskey.

After a formal dinner. End a catered meal through a place like Mascaro's Catering with a strong espresso and a sidecar of orange liqueur or cognac. This is the perfect accompaniment for rich desserts and tasty treats that are often found on wedding dinner tables. Plus, it might give your guests the 'kick' they need to keep the party going after the meal!

Self-serve stations. Let your guests make their own cup with a gourmet coffee station at your party or reception. Offer carafes of different brews, like Columbian or Kona coffee, and different liqueurs, toppings, and creamers for your friends to prepare as they wish. These make great features for a reception.

A chilly night out. Invite family and friends back to your house for a cup of blonde coffee which is slightly less robust than a breakfast blend and perfect for evening affairs. Brew fresh coffee and serve with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delicious treat during wedding planning and preparations that everyone will enjoy!

Gift-giving ideas. Instead of brewing up some coffee, consider wrapping some for a gift that many of your groomsmen and bridesmaids will enjoy and appreciate. Fill a basket with a couple mugs, some flavored non-dairy creamers, and a pound of a unique or special coffee for a gift that will show your appreciation for their participation in your wedding. This is a great gift for a helpful friend, new in-law, or officiant, too.

Make coffee a highlight at your wedding events with these serving ideas. Enjoy serving some unique blends and beans, inviting guests to try and taste, too. Also, consider gifting some of your favorites for your coffee-loving friends and family- or anyone who contributed to your big day!
